FLIPOUT SAFETY RULES
At Flip Out, safety is our top priority. To ensure that everyone has a fun and enjoyable experience, it is essential to follow our safety rules. These guidelines are designed to protect all participants, from young children to experienced jumpers, and to keep the excitement going without interruption. Each Flip Out centre has safety rules tailored to its specific facilities, so please follow the rules at your chosen location. Let us work together to create a safe and thrilling environment for everyone to enjoy. In the event of non-compliance with Flip Out's safety rules, the Flip Out team reserves the right to restrict the patron's continued participation in the play arena. Remember, putting safety first ensures fun for all!
General Safety Rules
- NO WAIVER – NO JUMP!
- All children under 130cms should be supervised by parents and enter at your own risk.
- Remove jewellery, valuables and other objects.
- Keep food and drink off the equipment.
- Don’t sit down in the arena or climb the safety padding.
- Always jump with two feet and land on two feet.
- No swearing, abusive language or threatening behaviour.
- Only one person on each trampoline, no double bouncing.
- Give way to those smaller than you.
- Always jump within your ability. No double bouncing
- One person jumping at a time, with one person waiting.
- Children must have adult supervision at all times.
- Every child must wear a Flip Out wristband provided by the service team.
- Anyone with mental/physical impairments are to use the equipment with a carer who is at least 18 years of age present.
Activity Safety Rules
Junior Arena Rules
- Under 110 – 130cm only
- Parents and carers allowed on padding only
- Jump within your ability
- Flip Out grip socks are mandatory for safety
- Parental supervision is strongly advised
Parkour Rules
- Look before jumping & landing on the boxes
- Don’t climb up the netting
- Land safely on the parkour boxes with 2 feet
- Jump within your ability

Wipe Out Rules
- 130cm+ only
- All children must move in one direction
- Only one jumper per trampoline at a time
- Adult supervision recommended
- No pushing or rough play
- Jump within your ability

Soft Play Rules
- Under 130cm only
- Flip Out grip socks only
- Give way to those smaller than you
- No rough play
- Feet first down the slide
- Do not climb up the slides
- Do not climb or pull on the netting

- Parental supervision is strongly advised
Warrior Course Rules
- Take your time, it’s not a race
- Only one person per obstacle
- Take a break on the side if required
- Do not climb on the framework, balustrades or safety netting
- Do not physically interact with other participants while completing the course
- Follow all signage and instructions
- Play within your ability
- Flip Out grip socks are mandatory for safety
- Parental supervision is strongly advised
Wall Climbing Safety Rules
- You must be inducted by a squad leader before entering the climbing area.
- Children under 13 years are to be under constant supervision by an adult.
- You must be wearing closed-toe shoes to climb.
- Harnesses must be worn and fitted by Flip Out crew members before participating in any activity.
- Carabiner must be attached to the harness before climbing.
- After climbing, the carabiner must be attached to the wall before releasing the tether.
- Ensure you are using the correct auto belay for the activity.
- On your first climb, practice your descent (approximately 2m) to ensure you are comfortable.
- Do not pull on the auto belay before letting go.
- Do not pull down on the tether at any time.
- Make sure the area below is clear before you descend.
- Descend in a controlled manner.
Slide Rules
- Flip Out grip socks only
- Feet first down the slides
- One person at a time
- Do not climb up the slides
- Wait until the slide is clear of other participants
- Play within your ability

Interactive Wall Rules
- Do not climb up interactive wall
- One person at a time
- No double bouncing
- Land with 2 feet only
- Jump within your ability
- Flip Out grip socks are mandatory for safety
- Parental supervision is strongly advised
Airbag Rules
- Feet first only
- Wait for instructions
- No diving
- No back flips
- No double/triple front flips
- Exit on sides as quickly as you can
- Jump within your ability

Go Kart Top 10 Rules
- Must wear helmet
- Must wear seat belt
- Must wear enclosed shoes
- Keep hands inside the kart at all times
- Must have 2 hands on the steering wheel at all times
- One pedal only! Don’t use accelerator and brake at the same time.
- Remember: Red means STOP and Green means GO
- Listen to your Ninja Kart host
- Avoid crashing into others
- Be kind to others
- Parental supervision is strongly advised
Dodgeball Rules
- You are hit by a live ball.
- An opposition player catches your live ball.
- You cross or enter the neutral zone (centre pads).
- You hold a ball for more than 10 seconds.
Slam Dunk Rules
- Flip Out grip socks must be worn
- Give way to smaller children
- Stay in your lane. Do not cross over padding
- No hanging off hoops, backboard or support structure
- No rough play
- Listen to your basketball host
- Only attempt to dunk within your skillset
- No jumping or dunking from behind the backboard
- Parental supervision is strongly advised
Health and Fitness Precautions
To ensure your safety while using our trampoline facilities, please consider the following:
- Medical Condition: You must be in good physical condition and free from medical conditions that may increase your risk of injury. Consult your GP if unsure about your ability to participate.
- Health Conditions: The following conditions could increase injury risk:
- Down's Syndrome
- Neck instability
- High blood pressure
- Spine or head injuries
- Pregnancy
- Recent surgery
- Excessive weight (>125kg/19 stone)
- Special Needs: We strive to provide an inclusive experience. Certain restrictions may apply for customers with special needs to ensure safety.
- Down's Syndrome: Customers must provide GP approval if they have Down's Syndrome, especially regarding neck stability.
- Autism: Separate sessions are available for customers with Autism.
- Dwarfism: Customers with disproportionate dwarfism are advised against participating in trampolining.
- Epilepsy: Customers with controlled epilepsy may participate but must obtain GP approval. Uncontrolled epilepsy requires caution due to potential triggers, and participants must be accompanied by someone who understands the condition.

- Padding Around Trampolines: Soft padding covers all trampoline edges to reduce impact and prevent injuries
- Safety Netting or Enclosures: Durable netting around areas keeps jumpers within safe boundaries.
- Foam Pits: Foam-filled pits provide a cushioned landing for high jumps and flips.
- Grip Socks: Special socks enhance grip, reducing the risk of slips and falls.
- Soft Play Equipment: All equipment is designed to absorb impact, ideal for safe play, especially for younger kids.
- Safety Signs: Signs throughout the park remind jumpers of key safety rules and etiquette.
- Staff Monitoring: Team members are stationed around the park to enforce safety rules and assist if needed.
- Routine Inspections: Regular inspections ensure that all equipment remains in top condition for safe use.
- Spring Coverage: Springs between trampoline mats are fully covered to prevent foot slips and injuries.
- Padded Posts: All park posts are padded for extra protection in active play zones.
- Park Netting: Netting divides attractions, securing steel structures from accidental impact.
- Maintained Foam Pits: Foam pits are kept clear and hygienic, with regular cleaning and rotation of foam.
- Daily Cleaning: Trampoline mats, pads, and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized every day.
- First Aid Stations: First aid stations are accessible for any minor injuries or assistance needed.
- Trained Staff & Spotters: Qualified team members are available to monitor activities and respond to emergencies.
- Clear Signage: Visible signage throughout ensures that all rules and safety reminders are easy to follow.
